Our green biobased chemistry is about mimicking nature’s smart solutions.
It’s called biomimetics and has turned OrganoClick into a world-leading green company. By imitating nature’s own solutions through green chemistry, we give wood, textiles, nonwovens and paper new characteristic. Such as improved strength, water- and fat-repellency, rot protection and flame protection, and at the same time as replacing environmentally-hazardous plastics and chemicals.

Plastic-free and non-toxic, biobased and biodegradable – pretty smart, right? And even better, we use waste streams from the food industry in many of our applications. Waste that would otherwise be thrown away or incinerated.

One innovation.
A thousand possibilities.
Using our patented OrganoClick technology to modify cellulose, various functional organic molecules can be “clicked” on to cellulose fibre with strong chemical bonds. Our innovative green chemistry makes it possible to create products and materials without any “hidden” plastic or toxins, and give them a green inside – we call it Made Green Inside.

The possibilities are virtually endless, for example efficient and environmentally friendly water repellency on functional textiles that replace PFAS, biobased binders that replace hidden plastic in nonwoven products, non-toxic wood protection against fungal attacks, improved flame protection for wood and textiles, and biocomposite materials that are light, mouldable and 100% biodegradable.

Biobased binders & additives for nonwoven and technical textiles
Biobased binders and hydrophobization additives for nonwovens under the OC-BioBinder™ and OC-AquaSil™ brands. 100% plastic-free and biodegradable.


With our biobased binder, OC-BioBinder, Duni produces the world’s first fossil-free and home compostable premium napkin.

Thanks to our green chemistry we have received a number of awards for our innovative solutions and products in Sweden and internationally. The WWF has appointed us as a “Climate Solver”, we are on the Sustania 100 list of the world’s most sustainable innovations, and we are part of the UN-affiliated Unreasonable Goals programme. We recently won Clean Equity Monaco, and right now we are participating with our OrganoWood brand at the World Exhibition in Dubai. To name just a few.
